B I O G R A P H Y

Heidi Bakk (They/Them) is an artist originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is currently based out of Chicago, Illinois. They recently graduated with their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. They previously received their Associate of Fine Arts degree from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. They work with a variety of media but are mainly drawn towards paint and colorful mark-making materials. Working to depict the human body, Bakk creates immersive pieces using highly saturated colors and varying textures.

Bakk's work has been shown in numerous galleries in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN, as well as seen in an international exhibtion through Arts to Hearts Project. Notable exhibitions include Untitled 17 at SOO visual Arts Center in Minneapolis, and Gaze, an online exhibition of only womxn artists. Additionally, Bakk’s artwork has been published in All She Makes, Issue 3, in 2021.
